During April, May, and June Colorado's
Front Range turns green. and the range of wildflowers is to a large
extent determined by precipitation. When it's a dry spring some plants
don't bother to come up at all. One year there was not an orange poppy
to be found. On the right is a Columbine thriving at 10,000ft elevation.
