This was a beautiful location
well north on Denmark's Jutland Peninsula. It was 10 years ago that
I was there, and I'm embarrassed to say I can't remember the name
of the place.
The lighthouse sits atop a bluff overlooking the North Sea, and it's
surrounded by rolling hills covered in lush green with wildflowers
everywhere.
Usually I wouldn't consider a road a thing of beauty, but this manicured
gravel road cuts a path across the hills in a most appealing way.
When you're at high latitudes close to the time of Summer Solstice
the days are very long. When I was there in mid-May it stayed light
until 10 p.m. |
