“Real flowers bloom in the wilderness.” - from the movie: “House of Flying Daggers.”
I recall a quote from artist Georgia O'Keeffe that goes something like this: "Nobody sees a flower—really—it is so small it takes time—we haven't time—and to see takes time..." Perhaps most don't take the time to look at a plant up close, but some of us do! I'm an admirer of her landscapes and close-up paintings of flowers. From a distance flowers may just appear to be a blur of color, but up close the details can be incredible with elaborate structures and fantastic, subtle shades. Of course this is all just a ploy to attract insects and perpetuate the genus, but quite enjoyable to humans as well!
