| I've just returned from a quick
driving tour of central Italy. I went back to places I'd seen as a
17-year old but had no lasting memory of, and several decades later
my appreciation went much deeper. I'm not a student of ancient culture,
but the quality of architecture and artwork I saw was humbling nonetheless. The time and effort taken to build structures like these never happens in our modern world.
