“May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds.” - Edward Abbey
Olympic National Park is an eclectic collection of spectacular locations on the Olympic Peninsula at the northwest corner of the United States. I describe it as eclectic because the scenic locations maintained by the NPS are randomly located with populated areas between. The coastal region has remote, pristine beaches, while inland are temperate rain forests. Located at the center of the peninsula are rugged mountains including 7,980ft Mt Olympus, only accessible by foot.
