“He doesn’t need any money; all he needs is his rucksack with those little plastic bags of dried food and a good pair of shoes and off he goes and enjoys the privileges of a millionaire in surroundings like this.” - Jack Kerouac
There's something very appealing about growing your own tomatoes ripening them on the window sill. They also make an interesting image.

So what makes an interesting image? I can only give my opinion...

The light through the window gives shape to the tomatoes with the contrast between the illuminated side and dark side.

The symmetry of many tomatoes in a line is somehow comforting. Who doesn't like juicy red tomatoes in one form or another?

The diagonal line of tomatoes from bottom left of image to top right fills the image. Your vision follows the line up through image and one might wonder how far the line goes beyond the image; in this case you can tell it stops.

Is the image a spontaneous shot, or was it planned with tomatoes carefully placed? I honestly don't remember, but does it really matter?
