“May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds.” - Edward Abbey
All of these photos were taken at Rocky Mountain National Park. The park is just outside the town of Estes Park, Colorado not far from Denver and Boulder. The park is open year-round and ranges in elevation from 9,000 to over 14,000ft. Trail Ridge Road traverses the park, but is typically closed October through May. The scenery is fabulous, with camping and hiking for spring, summer, fall, and snowshoeing for winter. There's a variety of animals to be found, especially the sizeable elk heard.
