| This picture of Half-Dome was
taken on the way to Clouds Rest, a peak of 9,930 feet just east of
Half-Dome. This puts Clouds Rest about 1,000 feet above Half-Dome
so there are spectacular views whenever you are facing west. My son Rob and I left from Little Yosemite camp ground, hiked to Clouds Rest, returned to the camp ground, packed up camp, and back packed to the Valley floor—about 16 miles. It was a very long but memorable day. |
